Monday
Take a drive down Sunset Boulevard with the Getty Research Institute’s interactive archive of photographs, shot by the artist Ed Ruscha and his collaborators. In a conversation hosted by Gagosian, Andrew Perchuk, deputy director at the Getty Research Institute, and Rani Singh, director of special projects at Gagosian, will talk about the process of digitizing the archive of over 65,000 photographs, which were shot over five decades. Josh Kun, a cultural historian, will discuss the musical history of the boulevard. Attendance is capped at 500.

Cozy up for a family-friendly evening of humor and holiday cheer via the Greene Space’s Cartoon Monsoon Holiday Spectacular. Performers and animators from Adult Swim, Comedy Central and Sesame Street (as well as a puppet simply named “Puppet”) will present a selection of new material that’s sure to get you in the spirit. Tickets are $10.

Tuesday
Take a deep breath and celebrate the release of Lavender Suarez’s new book, “Transcendent Waves: How Listening Shapes Our Creative Lives.” Ms. Suarez, a sound healing practitioner who has hosted listening experiences across the country, will be in conversation with the artist Bibbe Hansen, who wrote the introduction to the book. The conversation, which is hosted by Anthology Editions, will be followed by a live sound bath for viewers, performed by Ms. Suarez. Attendance is capped at 500.

Listen to the writers Joyce Carol Oates, Philip Gourevitch and Finn Yekplé read excerpts from their work, as part of the Literary Legends Homecoming Festival, which is a fund-raiser for the KGB Bar and literary journal. The festival celebrates the bar’s long history of hosting readings, and tickets cost $18.

Thursday
Celebrate the artist Louise Bourgeois with a virtual birthday happy hour, hosted by the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Museum staff and Amei Wallach, an art critic and filmmaker, will share the museum’s archive of Ms. Bourgeois’s work ahead of her December 25 birthday (she would have been 109). To kick off the happy hour, Andra “AJ” Johnson, the bar director for the Serenata/Zumo cocktail bar in Washington, will demonstrate a specialty cocktail inspired by the late artist. Friday
Cue up “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” on Netflix, and then turn your attention to a panel discussion of the film with the cast and crew at the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Stars including Glynn Turman and Colman Domingo, as well as the director George C. Wolfe, will weigh in on their adaptation of the story, originally written for the stage by August Wilson.

Saturday
Learn choreography from “Revelations,” one of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s most iconic works. In a prerecorded workshop, former company members and master teachers Nasha Thomas and Michael Thomas will present excerpts from “Wade in the Water” and “Rocka My Soul in the Bosom of Abraham.” The event is open to all ages and experience levels.

Sunday
Settle in for an evening of holiday tunes with the Boston Pops’ “Holiday Pops” event conducted by Keith Lockhart. Selections will include “Christmas Time Is Here” and “The 12 Days of Christmas.” The Boston Symphony Orchestra suggests wearing formal attire or a festive sweater and calling on a couple of friends to virtually watch with you to really make an evening out of it. Tickets are $30.
